PROJECT

Empowering Artistry in Nairobi

THE CHALLENGE

Undertaking the role of a designer at Sumerian, I enthusiastically embraced a unique opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of Johari, a social enterprise based in Nairobi. This voluntary initiative involved a collaborative effort with talented women, as we set out to craft a distinctive collection of fashion and jewelry utilizing indigenous materials sourced locally. This project not only showcased my design prowess but also underscored the significance of fostering creativity and empowerment within communities.

Ethical fashion

Having previously studied Product Development for Fashion at London College of Fashion, and Jewellery making at Leith School of Art, I was able to share my skills and help develop a range of clothing and jewelery.
